Goddess Deck, 3 Card Spread

Happy Morning!
This 3 card spread gives us a pretty good message no matter what your question or concerns. All cards came right side up - positively.

Four of Swords; Rest and recuperation.  As we see the woman resting and above her are 4 swords offering protection. Take a break & let yourself regenerate. This could be mentally or physically.

Two of Staves; Beginnings, Maybe a business venture, partnership or ideas that come forward to transform, energize or inspire.

Four of Pentacles; As the card shows the woman is surrounded in luxury, beautiful robes & jewels.  This is the card of prosperity. Stabilizing forces, money, talent, inheritance.

Three Card Spread for Wednesday

Today's 3 Card Spread of the Goddess Tarot includes a reversed Queen of Staves (don't panic - that's the past,) a Six of Cups and Ten of Swords.

Overall this is a good spread no matter what your question is today.

Queen of Staves; Power & Energy! However this card is reversed so it could mean something in the past might have not had as much drive, energy or power you may have hoped for. Did you wait too long? Not show the world what you could have done?  It's the past. Leave it there but take the lesson and move on.

Six of Cups; These cups are overflowing with flowers. Good things but the tide has risen and is swirling around the cups. Are you longing for the good times of the past? The innocence that once was?

Ten of Swords; We see a cloudy sky around the swords to symbolize transformation and moving toward something better. Wisdom, action and a better place.

Today will be Amazing!
Know that in your soul.

The Goddess Tarot 3 Card Spread

The first Tarot deck I'm using is my oldest deck. I picked these cards up years ago in Barnes & Nobel.

The three card spread is an easy and basic way to get started. The cards represent past, present & future.  It can also be used for other questions you may be focused on. You, Your Path, Your Potential, or relationships; You, Your Relationship, Your Partner or even something you've been working on; Idea, Process, Asperations. Whatever is weighing on your mind.

First card; XIX = The Sun

An expansive life affirming energy is here. This could be in your relationship, a creative project or even represent fertility.

The Goddess shown on this card is Zorya, who welcomes the warmth and light of the new dawn.

Second card: X= Fortune

The Universe is generous and good things are here. Open your heart to its abundance & stay positive.

This Goddess is Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess of prosperity & fortune.

Third card; Ten of Cups

Simply put? This is the card of Happiness.

We see the cups sitting above a rainbow and the reflection in the water below. Above the moon is full & promising.  Overall this card represents a happy family life, emotional satisfaction and lasting relationships.

Always look for the beauty in the day.

Have a great one!

What is Tarot Reading?

Tarot Cards have been around for centuries. Although some have evolved over time the basis for a reading remains the same. It's either to obtain some advice on an issue, take a peek into the future, or just for fun.

As Tarots evolved there have been many variations of the style of these cards from Angel cards, Dog Tarots and the basic Ryder Tarot. In the 13th century some were even used as playing cards.

Some Tarot readers claim to be psychic and say that they get insight from the cards.  Their abilities are strengthened when they use the cards.  I made no such claims.

I've always be curious about the Tarot and have acquired a few decks. For some reason I feel called to them. Is it the awesome artwork on some of these decks or the creativity that went into creating them that draws me in? Could be the Tarot readings I've had over the years. Some I found insightful and others left me cold. Still I go back.... Like the name of the blog says, I'm nothing but an Amateur wanting to learn.

My normal morning routine is just to pull a card to gain encouragement for the day ahead. Sometimes I do the 3 card spread. This habit has helped me learn about each card and what it means. I'm hoping you'll find it as interesting and informative as I always do.

On this blog we'll do the 3 card spread every morning & ask the Universe for guidance. If it resonates with you; Great! If not, drop by tomorrow & we'll try again.
